I am so thankful that I am able to take still life photos just about everyday. These past two weeks I have been working on my backlighting and I am enjoying it more and more. I also love using sidelight.... and then I remember when I first tried flatlay photos, I struggled with them and now I love doing flatlay photos. Let's just say still life photography has become so much a part of my daily life and I feel very blessed to have my husband Jim who supports me immensely in all I do and for all the beautiful friendships I have made in the still life courses that I have been taking over the past couple of years. I bought this gorgeous rose last week from Floretta Flower Studio & Crafts and it's just lasting and lasting. The sweet little cup is from HomeSense... I saw it and couldn't resist! Last week Jim entertained for a church that was putting on a dinner for some Syrian families. They gave him a beautiful bouquet of flowers and unfortunately I didn't get a chance to photograph them, but here are some tulips that were in the bouquet This was another flower from the bouquet and it is called a "pin cushion protea". Who doesn't love ranunculus. I thought they went so well with my teapot. On the second photo I used my own texture that I created. And last but not least... I was honoured and thrilled last week to have my photo below featured on #bellagracemagazine on Instagram.
