My Be Still 52 and Texture Tuesday!

This week's theme for Be Still 52 was "What's for Breakfast".  Last July, Jim and I decided that we needed to work on our eating and exercising habits.  It was a little tough at first and as time went on it became easier to follow our new lifestyle for better health.  We are thrilled and happy to say Jim's diabetes is under control and I have lost 44 pounds and we both feel great!  My goal for now is to reach 60 pounds.  With all that said... this is our breakfast.  We make smoothies every morning and eat as much fruit as we need throughout the morning.  For the rest of the day we eat very healthy foods and at this time of the year lots of homemade soups.

The photo below is for Week 23's theme "Inspired by Paintings".  I looked through some of the art websites and on Pinterest and found one by Barbara Fox.  Well mine didn't turn out looking anything like the painting, but still I was inspired.  Her painting was portrait and my photo is landscape.  Her tulip was in a tall glass vase and mine as you can see in a short wide glass jar.  Her tulip was standing tall and mine kept falling over.   Her tulip was pink and so is mine, so I guess there is something in common.   I used the kk_litely preset and I love Kim's kk_painterly texture which I also used on this photo.

Love your smoothie images - they would make wonderful ads! And the smoothies look delicious! Pretty tulip image too.

I can almost taste that blueberry smoothie! Yum! Good for you and your husband, getting more healthy. Congratulations on the weight loss. I bet you both feel more energetic. Your leaning tulip is just precious.
