Well we are into week 6 of our Be Still Fifty Two. I am sure you will hear this over and over again... I am loving this course. Kim Klassen is an excellent teacher. Anyway, one of this week's lessons is about nurturing your creativity, which I definitely have to do more of. Kim also provided us with a new preset called "darkmood". I chose this photo and here is the original without any editing. The second one with the preset with some tweaking in Lightroom and then the final photo.
Levels: 30 70 240 / Added texture kk_xanthe_scripted... Multiply blend mode at 90% opacity Duplicated the layer... Soft Light blend mode at 42% opacity / Went back into Lightroom and used the "darks" slider in the Tone Curve at -30 and Voila!
Here are three photos I did with side lighting. It seemed that every time I had the time to do photography, the sun would go in. I am going to be working more with side lighting hopefully over the next week and I will post some more photos. The first two photos are of a little jug that our granddaughter was so thrilled about giving to us last Christmas. She had picked it out herself. Needless to say I love it. It is one of those scented things that make your house smell pretty! In the third photo is a book our daughter gave to me many years ago and I've always cherished it. The tea cup is about 25 years old and is one of my favourites.
Kim Klassen's Texture: kk_waterfront7_tk... hard light 36% opacity
