It is March 7th already and here in Vancouver, BC, we definitely cannot complain about the weather we have had this winter. We've been so blessed with the mild temperatures and an early Spring. Can you believe our grass needs cutting already.
Last Wednesday, Jim and I had the most fabulous and delightful visit with Carolyn & Lynnwood Mcintosh. We spent about five hours sharing food, stories and lots of laughter. Carolyn and I have been talking on line for about two years now and it was such a pleasure to finally meet her and Lynnwood.... what a beautiful couple... oh my... Jim and I feel like we've known them for years. We are looking forward to seeing them again when they pass through Vancouver on their way home.
Anyway... "Be Still (One Year Wiser)" course is well into the second month now. I completed the "My Still Sunday" class last week and I am missing it already. I was enjoying getting up early Sunday morning and going through the lessons. I am still loving "The Studio OnLine" (year long) course and sharing with all my "Studio" friends. As you can see I am quite busy with my still life photography. I practise pretty well everyday, except for the other day when our power was out for approximately seven hours... boy we sure take electricity and lights for granted.
I am happy to share with you some of the photos I've been taking and hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy photographing them.
I am in awe of these exquisite and most delicate little roses I bought from Floretta Flower Studio & Crafts.... and the tiny berries are so adorable... love them! I've been making my own textures lately and this one is called "FrostedPink".
The prompt for this month's Be Still (OYW) is on books. I haven't used my bead board for quite awhile, so I decided to get it out on the weekend and start using it again.
These are precious and delicate tulips called "Liberstar", also from Floretta. If you look at the second photo, the tulip on the right looks like the centre is somewhat.... marshmallow... ish!
The photos below are a couple of "Minimalist" shots I did for The Studio class. Jim baked peanut butter cookies and they were so yummy!
